Why friendly passwords?
Random strings like x7$Qp!2z are hard to remember, so people write them down or reuse them. AniPW builds passwords from real, kid-friendly words – animals, colors, food and nature – then mixes in capital letters, numbers and symbols. The result is a password that is easy to remember and type, but still hard for computers to guess.
Private by design
Every password is created right here in your browser with the secure crypto.getRandomValues API. Nothing is sent to a server, saved or tracked. You can even use it offline.
Tips for strong passwords
- Use at least 3 words for everyday accounts and 5 or more for email, banking or a password manager.
- Use a different password for every site.
- Turn on two-factor authentication wherever you can.
- Store passwords in a password manager instead of a note.
Frequently asked questions
Is AniPW safe to use?
Yes. Passwords are generated entirely in your browser using the Web Crypto API (crypto.getRandomValues). Nothing is sent to a server, stored or logged.
Are word-based passwords actually secure?
Yes, when they are long enough. Every extra random word multiplies the number of possible passwords. Four or more words with a number or symbol gives a strong password that is still easy to remember. Use the strength meter to check.
How many words should my password have?
For everyday accounts use at least 3 words plus a number or symbol. For email, banking or a password manager master password use 5 or more words.
Is this a good password generator for kids?
Yes. AniPW only uses friendly, kid-safe words like animals, colors, food and nature, so children can get passwords that are fun to type and easy to remember.
Does AniPW work offline?
Yes. The whole generator is a single web page. Once it has loaded it keeps working without an internet connection.
